Vox Trust

Seal it. Try to cheat. Watch it catch you.

This demo runs the Vox Trust core (written in Rust, compiled to WebAssembly) entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, and keys never leave this page.

File mode · v0.1

What this demo is, and what it is not
  • It is the real seal, signature, trust policy and tamper-localisation code, running as WebAssembly. The same code passes the published test vectors.
  • File mode only survives bit-exact copies. Converting to MP3, resampling or re-recording changes every sample, so the seal reports the audio as modified. Surviving that is the job of the audio watermark carrier, which is experimental: it survives MP3, AAC and Opus but not phone calls, and gives no verdicts yet. Try the "lossy" button to see exactly this.
  • Only the audio format and the samples are authenticated, not other metadata in the file.
  • It is pre-1.0 and has not been audited. Do not use it to protect anyone yet.

1 · Pick some audio

No audio yet. Files are converted in your browser to 16 kHz mono (first 60 seconds).

2 · Seal it

Mode

Demo only: the key is derived from this text (PBKDF2, 600,000 iterations). Real apps use random keys exchanged in person (for example by QR code).

3 · Try to cheat

These act on the sealed audio, like someone editing it on the way. After each one, the verifier below re-checks.

4 · Verify

Nothing verified yet
Seal some audio, then verify it.
